During today’s “Truck & Bus” operation, officers will pay attention, among other things, to:
- the documents required by law for the road transport of people and goods in both domestic and international traffic
- the technical condition and required equipment of vehicles, as well as the way cargo is transported
- drivers’ working hours.
In addition, police officers will check whether the number of people transported in vehicles carrying passengers exceeds the number of seats specified in the registration certificate.
Naturally, sobriety checks of drivers will also be carried out during the operation.
The operation is coordinated by TISPOL (European Traffic Police Network), an international association bringing together traffic police forces.
