Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters identified and arrested a man suspected of burglaries involving heavy goods vehicles as a result of operational activities. The 29-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County broke into two trailers on the same night.
The crimes took place at two locations in Bolesławiec County, where truck drivers stop for longer rest breaks.
The arrested man was charged with burglary and the theft of cargo straps. Officers found some of the stolen property in the suspect’s vehicle. (Another break-in failed, even though the truck driver was asleep).
The 29-year-old now faces up to 10 years in prison.
