On Wednesday, April 24, Odra Pak opened its investment in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone – Bolesławiec. Konsorcjum Handlowe Odra Pak inaugurated the logistics center. Thanks to this investment, the company will increase efficiency, significantly shorten customer service times and expand its range of environmentally friendly products. The Odra Pak Central Warehouse, an investment carried out by the newly established company Odra Pak Logistyka, cost PLN 8 million.

Business partners, contractors and friends of the company were invited to the ceremonial opening of the Center. Those present included: the authorities of Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman with colleagues, Chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council Jarosław Kowalski, Deputy Starosta of Bolesławiec County Mirosław Horzempa with colleagues, Katarzyna Prociak, representing the local economic zone, Reverend Roman Lubański of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas in Bolesławiec, representative of the County Fire Service Jarosław Nenkin, representatives of PKO BP bank: Sławomir Czerwiński from the Wrocław branch and Olgierda Bedełka from the Bolesławiec branch, general contractor of the facility and president Marcin Jakowicki of M&J Zakład Ogólnobudowlany from Żary, inspector Remigiusz Olejnik and owners of Odra Pak partner wholesalers and representatives of companies from the zone.

– The opening of the logistics center is another milestone in the history of the Odra Pak consortium, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year – President Radosław Naskręt said at the opening. – I would like to take this opportunity to thank our business partners and customers, because without them this dynamic development would not have been possible. Only when I look at you do I realize why carrying out such an undertaking was so easy and fast; each of you contributed, to a greater or lesser extent, to the creation of this investment, and I would like to sincerely thank you for that – the president added.

Radosław Naskręt expressed particular thanks to the municipal and county authorities.

– I was looking for words with which I could describe the atmosphere of this cooperation and your approach and commitment. Words can convey this only to a small extent; to all of you who have come from different parts of Poland, I wish you authorities like the ones we have in Bolesławiec – the president addressed the officials. – The idea of creating a logistics center for our Odra Pak network had been growing in the minds of the company’s first founders for 20 years. Today we are celebrating the company’s 20th anniversary. We should mention our friend and visionary, who is unfortunately no longer with us, Zdzisław Dziedzic, who repeated the idea of creating such a center like a mantra. I think that, to a large extent, Zdzisław instilled the idea of this investment in us. At the end of 2017, as the management board, we presented the concept of the logistics center. I think that economic considerations played only a minor role in convincing the owners; it was the need to make dreams born from that spark come true. The investment allows us to multiply the company’s purchasing capacity, especially for ecological products. These are the products we focus on, introduce and promote; we introduce them much earlier, without waiting for directives. We are finishing the design of another warehouse, which will provide 4,000 pallet spaces and further significant opportunities. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank you. I would like people like you—dedicated, committed and with dreams—to always surround me. Thanks to dreams, we achieve great things; let us not stop dreaming – the president concluded his speech.

Mayor Piotr Roman responded with warm words.

– As mayor, I would like other city leaders to have entrepreneurs like you. People who decided to invest in a special economic zone – Piotr Roman said. – This is the twelfth facility in the zone. I am very pleased that we have another Polish company with Bolesławiec capital, and additionally that it operates in the logistics sector. My warmest congratulations, and I wish you that your dreams come true – the mayor added.

We invite you to tour the warehouse in a short video.
