The incident occurred on Holy Saturday, at around 5:00 p.m., on Bolesławiecka Street in Nowogrodziec. Two men travelling in a Ford car failed to stop for a roadside check. The officers gave chase.
At one point, the Ford stopped, and the two suspects travelling in it began to flee on foot.
One of them, a 22-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, was immediately apprehended by the officers. Efforts are under way to establish the identity of and apprehend the other fugitive.
Both suspects could face up to five years in prison.
