Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec conducted intensified operations, “Safe Weekend – EASTER 2019”, from 19 to 22 April. During this time, two accidents were recorded (we reported on them in the following articles: Accident in Modła. Cyclist attacked by a dog taken to hospital and Accident near Dobra, three people in hospital), as well as 13 collisions.
In addition, officers arrested two drivers under the influence of intoxicating substances. The first to be caught—on the night of 19–20 April, on one of Bolesławiec’s streets—was a 20-year-old Bolesławiec resident. The following night, also in the City of Ceramics, a 26-year-old woman was arrested. (In both cases, drug tests confirmed that the suspects had got behind the wheel under the influence of drugs.)
On Easter Monday, meanwhile, officers caught a 62-year-old man riding a moped with almost 2‰ of alcohol in his breath.
All three now face up to two years in prison.
