The accident occurred on Friday, April 19, after 6:00 p.m., in Modła (Gromadka Municipality). The cyclist, a 42-year-old man from Polkowice County, was overtaking another cyclist. The latter was accompanied by a dog.
The dog attacked the cyclist who was overtaking, causing the 42-year-old to fall.
It turned out that the man had suffered a pelvic injury. He was taken to hospital.
The dog’s owner—in this case, the person responsible for the accident because he failed to keep his pet under control—left the scene. Steps are being taken to establish the identity of the other cyclist.
The case may ultimately go to court.
