This time, it was not military pea soup but military sour rye soup. Shortly before Easter, soldiers from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment stationed in Bolesławiec gathered for joint prayer and a meal.
The assembled guests were welcomed by the Regiment’s commander, Col. Grzegorz Potrzuski, who wished them a healthy holiday and safe service. He ordered homemade dishes to be prepared for his subordinates and invited guests. The barracks kitchen proved that soldiers do not live on pea soup alone. Chaplain Rev. Andrzej Bawer prayed with the soldiers.
