Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, as a result of operational activities, identified and arrested a suspect in two basement burglaries.
Both crimes took place in Bolesławiec. According to information gathered by the police, the first incident occurred at the beginning of March. The thief stole power tools and fishing equipment.
The officers received the second report in the second half of March; the victim reported a basement burglary and the theft of, among other things, golf clubs.
The man was arrested while driving a car, thereby violating a court-imposed driving ban. In the suspect’s vehicle, officers found some of the stolen property. They found the rest at his home. (The officers are currently investigating the origin of some of the recovered items).
The police recovered property worth nearly PLN 10,000 in total. The items will be returned to their owners.
The 34-year-old was charged with seven counts. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
