Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec identified and arrested the perpetrator of a series of crimes as a result of operational activities. He turned out to be a recidivist, a 29-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
In February and the first days of March alone, the man managed to commit 10 crimes against property.
The suspect operated in the municipality and city of Bolesławiec. He broke into residential and farm buildings; he is also charged with breaking into a container holding gas cylinders.
Furthermore, the 29-year-old stole, among other things, fuel cans and a battery from various properties. In addition, the suspect will face charges for stealing a vehicle by breaking into it.
The perpetrator confessed and gave an explanation. (Police recovered a power generator, a bass box and children's motorcycles).
At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec, the court placed the 29-year-old in pre-trial detention for three months. The serial thief now faces up to 15 years in prison.
