I am writing to you with a request to address the issue of cleanliness and the technical condition of Orka in Bolesławiec. The gym and its technical and sanitary condition deserve particular attention. Inadequate ventilation, worn-out equipment—and, above all, the sanitary facilities. The toilet door in the men’s changing room does not close at all because the door frame is badly swollen from water. There is rust and limescale everywhere. [...] I wonder how it is possible for this facility to pass Sanepid inspections successfully. [...] Many people mention this to the instructors; from their responses, one can conclude that the management avoids investment and cuts costs... This is a representative facility for the city. Apart from the fact that using such a facility is unpleasant, I am simply ashamed in front of people visiting our city and using this facility. You are an editorial office covering various aspects of the city, and I hope you will also deal with this matter. The result of your intervention would be improved conditions for people using the facility and a dignified image for our city’s water park. Regards.

The president of the Orka water park, Robert Tomczyk, responds.

We are in the process of resolving these matters; the doors have already been ordered. The cracks are caused by vibrations from construction next to the hotel, and the remaining defects are being repaired on an ongoing basis. Thank you for the information and your concern.
