On 23 February, the 28th Polish Indoor Masters Athletics Championships were held in Toruń. Kamil Makoś, our decorated runner and a soldier in the 23rd ŚPA in his everyday life, competed in the 3,000-metre race, achieving the best time in the history of the championships—8:42.28—and the title of Polish champion.
“I broke my own personal record by two seconds,” says the champion. “The Toruń competition was part of preparations for the 8th World Indoor Athletics Championships, which will take place in the last week of March, also in Toruń. I will compete in the 10,000-metre race then.”
