A reader informed us that litterers repeatedly dump rubbish in the woods near Bolesławiec (in the vicinity of Ceramiczna Street).
And indeed, at the site—as usual—we found bottles from various drinks. But that was not all.
There were also paint buckets and car-body parts, as well as... tires that someone had arranged in a row—so symmetrically that the famous detective Adrian Monk would certainly have appreciated it. (It is clearly evident that whoever came here to dump rubbish was completely unconcerned about committing a punishable offense).
We have written repeatedly in these pages about the rubbish that litterers leave in various places throughout our county. Often, when the matter concerned the City of Ceramics, we also asked for comment—sometimes from the municipal police, sometimes from the Municipal Housing Management Company. We understand that this problem cannot be eliminated completely. We know that the services cannot be stationed in one place around the clock.
So perhaps it is worth—AGAIN, possibly somewhat naively—appealing to fans of spending time outdoors (and drinking) to take their rubbish with them. Especially now, with spring approaching, when county residents will certainly be going for walks more often. And quite frequently with small children.
We will certainly return to the subject of rubbish.
