The incident occurred on February 13 in Chojnów Municipality. As the website Bolesławiec police shot a dog? “When the officers entered the property, they were attacked” reported in an article titled wprost.pl:
Konrad Kuźmiński, a member of the Board of the Lower Silesian Inspectorate for Animal Protection, reported on social media that “Bolesławiec police officers killed one dog with live ammunition during a search and shot another in the muzzle.”
K. Kuźmiński added on Twitter:
“For three hours of the search, none of the approximately 30 degenerate officers allowed a veterinarian to be called to the scene. The dogs are very gentle. I am handling the matter!”
The problem is that Bolesławiec police were at the scene, but it was counterterrorism officers from Wrocław who actually shot at the dogs.
– These were operations conducted on the orders of the Bolesławiec prosecutor’s office in connection with an investigation into a dismantled production line for narcotics – explained to Onet Krzysztof Zaporowski, spokesperson for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The line was dismantled in January. At that time, we also seized 2.5 kg of drugs and arrested four people, who were charged and remanded in custody. New information emerged in the case, so last week police officers took action to search the property, suspecting that prohibited items might be located there – he added.
When the counterterrorism officers entered the property, two dogs lunged at them. One of the animals was shot, while the other died at the scene.
DIOZ filed a report with the prosecutor’s office concerning the possibility that the officers had committed a crime. Investigators are examining the case.
Did the veterinarian reach the scene?
Wprost.pl:
Konrad Kuźmiński reported that police officers had not allowed a veterinarian to be called to the scene for three hours. The spokesperson for the Provincial Police Commander in Wrocław did not confirm this information. – Let us remember that when police officers are conducting operations and a threat may arise, until that threat has been neutralized, no bystander may enter the area for their own safety. We do not know who is inside, we do not know what their intentions are, and we also do not know what threat may arise. Therefore, the operation is conducted, and only when police officers determine that it is safe may the person enter. The veterinarian was notified. He was at the scene and provided assistance – Krzysztof Zaporowski explained.
