The incident occurred after 2:40 p.m. in Bolesławiec, at the intersection of Wróblewskiego and Dolnych Młynów. Three passenger cars (an Opel, a Ford and an Audi) collided. The driver of the Opel, a 59-year-old man from Bolesławiec, failed to yield the right of way to the driver of the Audi, a 43-year-old woman from Bolesławiec County.
The Opel also hit a Ford Mondeo driven by a 32-year-old man from Żagań County. The Ford driver was taken to hospital with suspected rib fracture. All those involved in the incident were sober. The accident perpetrator's driving licence was confiscated.
