Jeleniogórscy criminal investigators detained two men, aged 28 and 31, suspected of cultivating Indian hemp.
While conducting activities aimed at combating drug-related crime, police officers received information that a marijuana plantation was most likely being operated in one of the farm buildings in Jelenia Góra. The information was soon confirmed.
Officers secured 105 Indian hemp plants in various stages of growth. (The seedlings could have produced approximately 7,200 saleable portions of marijuana with a black-market value of approximately PLN 90,000).
Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail.
At the prosecutor's request, both suspects were placed in temporary custody for two months. They could face up to eight years behind bars.
