During the winter holidays, a meeting between Bolesławiec police officers and students took place at the Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna – Centrum Wiedzy in Bolesławiec. The talk, entitled “Young Detectives”, was attended by a police forensic technician and a community police officer.
During conversations with the children, the officers talked about the specifics of police work. Before the presentation of the “magic” case, each participant received a special apron. The children could see up close what a forensic technician’s bag contains, what the various fascinating tools used to reveal and secure evidence look like, and what they are used for. They also learned what constitutes valuable evidence and what police officers pay attention to when securing the scenes of various incidents.
The participants could also learn what the daily duties of police officers look like.
Childhood is characterized, among other things, by asking countless questions, which is also characteristic of a detective who conducts an investigation and gathers a range of different information in order to establish the facts.
Police:
We hope that the meeting was interesting and that among the participants there will be people who choose to pursue a future in police uniform.
