Officers from Pieńsk detained a resident of Węgliniec Municipality. The man is suspected of stealing an Opel Vectra.
The crime in question took place in mid-January this year in a car park at one of the airports in Germany.
The car was found in Węgliniec Municipality. Moreover, officers found marijuana, so-called “breakers” used to steal vehicles, and seven sets of registration plates in the suspect’s basement; six of them came from crimes committed in Germany.
The man has already been charged. Since he had previously been convicted of similar offences, he now faces up to 15 years in prison.
