Ensuring the safety of children and young people during their winter holidays is a priority for the Polish police. An important element of safety efforts is inspecting coaches carrying children to such holidays. During inspections, officers primarily check the drivers’ sobriety, documents and the technical condition of the vehicles.
In response to public expectations, police officers have prepared a list of permanent locations where the technical condition of coaches and the psychophysical condition of drivers transporting children and young people for holidays are inspected. The KGP Traffic Bureau has compiled a list of these locations across the country, together with contact telephone numbers where detailed information can be obtained about the possibility of carrying out ad hoc inspections of coaches and drivers.
Officers:
We remind you that it is possible to request an inspection of a coach carrying children on holiday. This can be done in person at any Police unit or by telephone, by calling 997 or 112.
The best solution is to inform police officers about the planned trip several days in advance. This gives us a chance to avoid a longer wait for a Police patrol to arrive.
