The Scan&Go service, which speeds up shopping and reduces checkout queues—it means you do not have to take all the products out of your basket—was available from 2017 only in a few selected hypermarkets in Warsaw. It is now available in every Carrefour store.
To use the Scan&Go service, you need a smartphone with the Android 4.4 or iOS 8 operating system, or newer versions, as well as the current version of the “Mój Carrefour” app. After selecting the “Scan&Go” option from the side drop-down menu, you can scan product barcodes using your phone’s camera. Scanned products are automatically added to a virtual basket, and the total purchase value is calculated. This lets you know the total value of your shopping and gives you full control over the amount you will pay at the checkout.
After scanning all the products, go to the checkout, show the generated code and pay for your shopping in your preferred way: with cash, by card or via mobile payment using an electronic wallet. Previously scanned goods are verified using an algorithm, so customers may be asked to place selected products on the checkout belt.
