The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 11, at around 8:00 a.m. Two cars—a Skoda and a Toyota—collided at the intersection of Mickiewicza Street, Ogrodowa Street and Wolności Square.
The former was driven by a foreign national, a 26-year-old citizen of Croatia. He caused the collision because he failed to yield the right of way to a 31-year-old woman from Bolesławiec County, who was driving the Toyota and had the right of way.
The woman was taken to hospital. Fortunately, she did not suffer any more serious injuries.
The Croatian man was fined PLN 500.

And indeed, the STOP sign for drivers approaching Ogrodowa Street from Mickiewicza Street is turned around... If this was meant to be a joke or a prank, congratulations on your sense of humor. It is utterly exasperating...
