Police are looking for witnesses to an accident that occurred in Trzcińsko on October 1 at approximately 12:00 p.m.
According to the officers’ preliminary findings, the driver of a black Audi with undetermined registration numbers, travelling towards the Janowice Wielkie–Karpniki intersection, moved into the opposite lane.
The moped rider travelling in that lane, in order to avoid a head-on collision with the car, was forced to move into the left lane. There, he fell and hit a fence. The two-wheeler rider sustained serious injuries. The Audi driver, meanwhile, drove away without providing assistance to the injured person.
Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the police. The proceedings in this case are being conducted by an officer from the Investigative Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra (22 Armii Krajowej Street) – tel. 75 75 20 1683, 75 75 20 231.
