Officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters detained a man suspected of committing three offenses.
The victim was a Bolesławiec resident who gave the suspect an opportunity to earn a few pennies doing finishing work in his garden shed.
When the victim was driving his “employee” home after the work was finished, he heard a mobile phone ringing. It sounded familiar. (The man did not yet suspect that the 25-year-old had stolen his phone).
But that was not the end of it. The thief waited four days, then broke into the shed he had worked on and stole a gas cylinder and a heater. Then… he set the building on fire.
The ungrateful 25-year-old was detained. He could now face up to 10 years in prison.
The officers recovered the stolen phone.
