The incident occurred on Sunday, 2 December, at around 4:00 p.m., in Bolesławiec municipality. Police received a report that the driver of a passenger car was driving without a wheel.
The man stopped the car in Otok, by the roadside. The engine was still running.
And indeed, when the officers arrived at the scene, it turned out that the 33-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec gmina had been driving a car without its front right tire.
The driver was completely drunk; he had approximately 3.2 per mille of alcohol in his system. (What is more, he tried to convince the officers that he had not been driving the passenger car).
Moreover, it came to light that the 33-year-old has a lifetime driving ban. The suspect was detained. He now faces up to five years in prison.
