As we read on the website of Wrocław’s “Gazeta Wyborcza”:
This morning, the leaders of the Non-Party Local Government Representatives—province marshal Cezary Przybylski and Lubin mayor Robert Raczyński—met with PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna. However, the Platform leader was told that talks on possible cooperation in the region at the level of the provincial government and the formation of a coalition in the Lower Silesian regional assembly had been suspended.
Opcja: C. Przybylski nadal marszałkiem, co Ty na to?
It therefore appears that the province will be governed by a coalition of Law and Justice and the Non-Party Local Government Representatives. Importantly for residents of our county, the current head of Lower Silesia, our fellow local resident and former Platform member, Cezary Przybylski, will remain marshal.
As “Wyborcza” adds:
The four remaining seats on the provincial government would go to Michał Bobowiec and Tymoteusz Myrda on behalf of the Non-Party Local Government Representatives, and to Marcin Krzyżanowski and current deputy voivode Kamil Zieliński on behalf of PiS.
Update: 2018-11-13, 15:40
PiS and the Non-Party Local Government Representatives have signed a coalition agreement in Lower Silesia, reports Radio Zet. This means that Cezary Przybylski will probably retain the position of Marshal of the Lower Silesian Province (under the agreement, the Non-Party Local Government Representatives are to put forward the candidate for marshal. The Non-Party representatives will also have two members of the provincial government. PiS will fill the positions of two deputy marshals and the chair of the regional assembly).
The Non-Party Local Government Representatives say that the agreement signed with PiS will result, among other things, in a reduction of the copper tax and additional funding for Lower Silesia’s rail and road infrastructure.
