The first breach of the election silence occurred just after midnight. A car bearing a sticker of one of the electoral committees was driving through the city streets. Two young people were traveling in the car. They were asked to show their identification by the city guards, and the police took up the matter.

The second violation occurred during the day. Election advertisements were being broadcast on one of the websites unfavorable toward the incumbent mayor. They disappeared only after 2:00 p.m.

The third breach of the election silence was the most spectacular, however. The electoral agent of the incumbent mayor’s opponent began sending people text messages informing them that he would vote for the incumbent mayor’s rival. He provided the candidate’s first and last name and the committee he represented. In the text message, he also urged recipients to forward it. We know that the matter will be reported to the prosecutor’s office on Monday.
