A representative of the Bolesławiec police, as part of the Aware Junior programme, met with students of the Major Henryk Sucharski Complex of General and Vocational Schools in Bolesławiec to discuss the dangers associated with constantly using the internet, sharing various information, and publishing photos and videos online.

The police officer emphasised that caution should be exercised when logging into personal accounts using a publicly available network.

The second important topic was human trafficking, particularly taking up employment abroad. Young people are very often interested in the possibility of working abroad and, consequently, in earning money quickly and attractively. However, they are unaware that this may lead them to places where they will be forced to work.

The meeting was also an excellent opportunity to discuss career prospects with the young people and present the profession of police officer. The students learned what daily service involves and what requirements a candidate for the force must meet.

They were told who may serve in the police, which documents are required and what the qualification procedures look like.
