Employees of the security team at one of the shops in Jelenia Góra handed over to police two Czech nationals, aged 26 and 33, who had stolen power tools worth nearly PLN 1,200. It turned out that the thieves had hidden the haul and wheeled it out of the shop in a baby stroller belonging to one of them. (The security guards noticed this and notified the police.)
What's more, during police procedures, the 33-year-old used an identity document that did not belong to her.
Furthermore, it came to light that both women had been staying at one of the hotels in Jelenia Góra. Then they fled without paying and... stole a television from the room.
The two Czech women now face up to eight years in prison. The older of them was temporarily detained for two months by order of the District Court in Jelenia Góra.
