The Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec, at ul. Jeleniogórska, invites you to take part in the screenings. The program is intended for people aged 50 to 65, or those aged 40 to 49 who are at risk—meaning people who have a first-degree relative diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

The screenings and the preparation product required before the examination are free of charge.

Colorectal cancer is the second most common malignant cancer in Poland. More than 14,000 new cases are diagnosed every year. Colorectal cancer develops from benign lesions known as polyps. This transformation most often takes several years. Therefore, undergoing screening early enough and removing polyps can prevent the development of cancer. Cancer detected early can also very often be cured. Polyps and early-stage cancerous lesions usually do not cause symptoms.

The purpose of preventive colonoscopy is to find these still asymptomatic lesions and, where possible, remove them. This approach can reduce the risk of developing colorectal cancer by as much as 60–90%.

All you need to do is visit the endoscopy unit at ul. Jeleniogórska and express your wish to participate in the program. Qualified staff will answer all your questions, provide detailed information, and help you complete the questionnaire. We warmly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to undergo a colonoscopy and potentially detect disease-related lesions.
