The incident occurred on Saturday, September 29, on the A18 road, at the 51st kilometre toward Berlin. After 5:00 a.m., the driver of a Renault minibus, a 24-year-old resident of Bytom County, hit the rear of a car transporter for unknown reasons. The transporter was partially on the shoulder and partially on the road.
Five minibus passengers were injured in the accident. They were taken to hospitals in Legnica, Bolesławiec and Żary. It is not yet known how serious their injuries are.
The Renault driver was unharmed. (The car transporter’s driver was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.)
Traffic is moving in only one lane. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
