The latest edition of CBOS’s recurring survey shows that the police was the highest-rated public institution among the twenty-five institutions assessed by respondents.

In its recurring survey, conducted every March and September, CBOS monitors the opinions of adult Poles on the activities of the president, parliament, the media and selected public institutions, including the Police. The results of the latest edition of the survey indicate that nearly three-quarters of respondents (74%) view its activities positively. Compared with the previous edition of the survey, the proportion of positive ratings rose by 6 percentage points, while the proportion of negative ratings fell by 2 percentage points (to 15%). [...]
The Police currently ranks first among the institutions assessed, ahead of local governments, television and the army. It is also worth noting that the Police received a rating more than twice as high as the justice system institutions. [...]
Gen. insp. Jarosław Szymczyk:
For the first time in history, nearly three-quarters of respondents (74%) rated the Police’s activities positively. In recent years, this rating had been high—around 70%—and placed the Police among the leading institutions; however, the current rating is the highest since 1990, and the Polish Police has taken first place among the institutions surveyed for the first time.
