The incident occurred on Sunday, September 23, at around 5:25 p.m., on Lubańska Street in Nowogrodziec.
As we read on the Facebook profile of the volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec’s Osiedle II:
The vehicle broke through the bridge railings and fell into the water channel.
It is already known that the Volkswagen driver, a 19-year-old from Lubań County, braked sharply while trying to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle. The car hit the bridge railings, drove off the bridge, fell into the water and overturned.
A 15-year-old VW passenger was taken to hospital. Fortunately, she suffered only general bruising.
The driver escaped the incident almost unscathed. He was sober.
