The incident occurred last Friday, after 8 p.m. The duty officer at the Lubin police station received a report that a woman driving a Toyota, while leaving her property, damaged her neighbor’s parked car and drove away.

The community police officers who arrived at the scene quickly reached the perpetrator. She turned out to be a 40-year-old resident of Lubin.

As they established, the driver wanted to leave her property. When she scraped another vehicle, she decided to end her journey and went home.

The woman smelled strongly of alcohol. It emerged that the 40-year-old had got behind the wheel with more than 2 permille of alcohol in her system. The woman admitted guilt. She explained that she felt fine and was certain she would be able to drive the car.

The woman could now face up to two years in prison.
