On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, unidentified perpetrators attempted to break into a Biedronka store on Wróblewskiego Street in Bolesławiec. At around 4:00 a.m., the alarm went off inside the building. The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters sent officers to the scene.
It turned out that the perpetrators had attempted to blow up the ATM built into the market’s wall. However, they did it so incompetently that they failed to steal anything.
The case is being investigated by the Bolesławiec police. Activities are under way to establish the identity and arrest the would-be burglars.
The inept thieves could face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
