The incident took place on Monday. Legnica criminal investigators stopped a man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle on Spokojna Street. (The stop was not accidental.)
The resident of Środa County was carrying scales, a total of PLN 7,000 (in Polish and European currency), and portioned drugs in his luggage—that is, drugs ready to be introduced onto the market.
After his arrest and the collection of evidence, the 42-year-old was taken to the prosecutor's office. There, the suspect was charged with introducing a significant quantity of narcotic and psychotropic substances onto the market.
The detainee had previously been convicted of drug-related offences. Investigators placed him under police supervision and required a property bond.
The resident of Środa County could now face up to 12 years in prison.
