Officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters dismantled a cannabis growing operation in the Nowogrodziec municipality and detained a man suspected of drug-related offenses.

The 40-year-old grew marijuana on a property near a forest. Some of the plants were hidden among the tomatoes. At the suspect’s home, officers also found a finished narcotic and two thermal tents, each containing four cannabis plants.

(In total, the police seized 27 plants, from which more than 1,500 portions of marijuana could have been obtained).

The 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was detained by officers from Nowogrodziec. He has already been charged with two offenses: possession and cultivation of narcotic substances.

The 40-year-old now faces up to eight years in prison.
