The accident occurred on Thursday evening, August 30, between Tomisław and Osiecznica (Osiecznica municipality). The Volkswagen driver, a 31-year-old resident of Miasto Ceramiki, veered onto the shoulder, lost control of the vehicle and rolled over.
A 23-year-old woman from Bolesławiec, a passenger in the VW, was injured in the accident. She was taken to hospital with a leg injury. (The driver escaped the entire incident unscathed.)
According to the driver, he veered onto the shoulder because he wanted to avoid a collision with a truck that was allegedly driving in the middle of the road.
The police are determining the causes of the accident.
