To ensure that travelers can safely return from their summer holidays, more police officers than usual from the traffic and prevention departments will be present on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Officers will focus primarily on drivers’ sobriety and the speed at which they are traveling.

This coming weekend, which will be the last weekend of this year’s summer holidays, Bolesławiec police officers will conduct intensified operations.

How can you get home safely?

  • never get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol
  • try to get enough rest before traveling
  • wear seat belts while driving, and transport children in child safety seats
  • before traveling, check the vehicle’s technical condition (operation of the lights and condition of the braking system); the vehicle’s equipment (a warning triangle and fire extinguisher); and the necessary documents (driving licence, third-party liability insurance and registration certificate)
  • observe speed limits and adjust your speed to the current road conditions. (Good conditions do not guarantee safety)
  • remember to apply the principle of limited trust, especially toward pedestrians and people riding two-wheeled vehicles—they are not always visible on the roads.
