A concerned father and his 13-year-old son reported to the duty officer at the Legnica police station. The man told the officers that his son’s phone had been stolen near one of the shopping centres in Legnica. (The mobile phone was worth more than PLN 500.)
The parent added that, before committing the theft, the perpetrators had threatened the teenager with violence.
The officers established descriptions of the suspects. On Środkowa Street, they arrested two teenagers: a 17-year-old from Kunice Municipality and a 16-year-old resident of Legnica. It turned out that both were due to be taken to youth educational centres.
The 16-year-old was placed in a police juvenile detention facility, while the 17-year-old was taken into police custody.
The case is developing. The older suspect could face up to twelve years in prison.
