On Wednesday, August 22, a patrol from the prevention division stopped a Peugeot driver, a 27-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality, for inspection in Bolesławiec. The police officers asked the driver to show the required vehicle documents and driving licence. He replied that he had left them at home.

As luck would have it, the registration certificate was lying on the passenger seat, within the officers’ line of sight...

The patrol officers already knew that the 27-year-old had something to hide. And indeed, they found methamphetamine in his car.

The man was arrested and taken to the Bolesławiec police headquarters, where he was charged with drug possession.

Moreover, it emerged that the Peugeot driven by the arrested man did not have a valid technical inspection or the required equipment. The driver himself had neither a driving licence nor the vehicle’s insurance document.

The 27-year-old now faces up to three years in prison.
