On 18 August, a ceremony was held at the OSP Radwanice headquarters, during which the mayor of Radwanice Municipality thanked the firefighters who took part in extinguishing the fire at a hazardous chemical dump in Jakubów.

As we read on the Facebook profile of the volunteer firefighters from Warta Bolesławiecka:

Our unit also received thanks for taking part in extinguishing the fire.

We thank the organizers for the invitation.

Let us recall. At the end of July, we reported that a dangerous chemical fire had broken out in Jakubów near Polkowice. Firefighters from our county took part in the operation: two crews from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, and one each from the Volunteer Fire Service in Warta Bolesławiecka and OSP Osiecznica.

More about the fire in a Polsat News report: Four people detained in connection with the fire at the dump in Jakubów.
