On The Bad Bunzlauer, a photo of a children’s climbing wall covered in scribbles appeared. It was accompanied by a rather blunt note:
A week has passed, and you little shits still can’t respect something that is being made for you! I hope someone f***ing chops your hands off right at your asses! [...] we hope someone sticks those markers up your a***s so far that they come out the top.
We asked Zbigniewa Kowalczyka, deputy head of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec, for comment. “There are no words; it is difficult to comment on this at all,” says Z. Kowalczyk. “All the more so because the painted-over mini climbing walls are intended for the youngest users of the facility.”
The deputy head of MOSiR adds that the centre has a problem with publicly accessible facilities because something is constantly being damaged. Recently, someone painted over the entire sign by the Bobrowa Trail. “The result is that MOSiR spends more money repairing genuinely vandalised elements, while those funds could, for example, be spent on purchasing a new piece of equipment,” he stresses.
Why can’t we respect something that is a shared public good? We invite you to discuss it.
