The incident occurred after 7:20 p.m. on Sunday. Two cars collided on the road out of Gromadka towards Wierzbowa. Three people were injured, one of whom was trapped in a car. Firefighters and emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene. It turned out that one woman had injuries serious enough for a helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue service to be called. The helicopter took her to a hospital in Legnica. The other injured people, suffering abdominal injuries, were taken to hospitals in Bolesławiec and Zgorzelec.
