The incident occurred on Tuesday, 7 August, in the morning, between Tomaszów Bolesławiecki and Wilczy Las (Warta Bolesławiecka commune). The driver of a passenger Opel, a 23-year-old resident of Świdnica County, failed to maintain a safe distance and hit the back of a DAF truck driven by a 67-year-old from Lubusz Voivodeship.
As a result of the collision, only the passenger-car driver was injured. The man was taken to hospital. Fortunately, however, he did not suffer any serious injuries.
Both drivers were sober. The 23-year-old was fined 250 zł and received 6 penalty points.
