Those arrested are Marek R. from Zgorzelec and three residents of Lubań: Wojciech M., Edyta T. and Sławomir P. The prosecutor’s office alleges that they failed to inspect cars in exchange for bribes.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the officers took money at least a dozen times. Each time, they received no less than PLN 100, for a total of at least PLN 5,000.
In the corruption case at the Jędrzychowice crossing, the prosecutor’s office has already brought charges against 30 people, mostly Border Guard officers and several customs officers.
