At exactly 9:00 p.m., residents of Bolesławiec gathered outside the District Court in Bolesławiec to oppose the destruction of the independence of the judiciary. There were nearly 50 people. Among those gathered outside the Bolesławiec court, the average age was 60.
In the protesters’ view, the government is dismantling the independence of the Supreme Court through its reforms, and the reforms will not actually improve the justice system but merely subordinate it to the government.
