The incident occurred on July 16, after 1 a.m. The duty officer at the Lubin police station was informed that an unknown man was threatening another man with a knife. A patrol from the prevention department was immediately sent to the scene.

It turned out that the 34-year-old resident of Lubin had first beaten his partner at their apartment. However, the woman managed to break free and escape from the house. Unfortunately, her attacker caught up with her in the park, knocked her to the ground and began kicking her.

The entire incident was witnessed by a passer-by who, wanting to help the beaten woman, shouted to the aggressor that he would call the police.

The enraged 34-year-old pulled out a knife, cut the passer-by with it and fled the scene. However, he did not enjoy his freedom for long, as the police quickly located and arrested him.

The attacker was taken to police custody and then to… prison, because it emerged that he had already been convicted of other offenses. The woman and her 18-year-old rescuer received medical attention.

The 34-year-old aggressor could now additionally face up to two years in prison.
