On Saturday, July 7, around midnight, officers from the Patrol and Intervention Department of the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters stopped a Volkswagen for a traffic check on Działkowa Street.
The driver turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Legnica County. The man was very agitated and nervous. During the check, he admitted to the officers that he had been driving under the influence of drugs. Blood was collected from him for testing.
A 29-year-old woman from Legnica was also travelling in the car. She had methamphetamine and marijuana in her possession.
The irresponsible driver could now face up to 2 years in prison. The VW passenger could be behind bars for up to 3 years.
