The crime took place on 22 May in one of the towns near Jelenia Góra. Police had been searching for the victim for more than a month. (His disappearance had been reported).
The first signs that a murder had taken place emerged several days later. Further investigative activities and the evidence collected led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman.
The prosecutor charged the man with murder. His common-law partner was charged with concealing evidence and failing to provide assistance. Both were remanded in custody for three months.
The 39-year-old may face life imprisonment.
