Senior Superintendent, PhD Joanna Cichla began her police service on November 20, 1999, as a trainee at the County Police Headquarters in Polkowice. For almost her entire professional career, she was associated with the criminal division. From March 2013, Commander Cichla held various management positions at the County Police Headquarters in Głogów; she was head of Juvenile Affairs and Pathology in the Prevention Division, and subsequently deputy head of the Division for Combating Economic Crime.
In recognition of her extensive professional knowledge, managerial abilities, and experience in managing and leading teams, in January 2017 the police officer was entrusted with the duties of first deputy county police commander in Polkowice.
On July 1 this year, as an experienced police officer with exceptionally broad competencies, she became head of the County Police Headquarters in Lubin.
Joanna Cichla holds a PhD in social sciences from the University of Silesia in Katowice and is a graduate of the University of Zielona Góra and the Police Academy in Szczytno. She also completed studies at the Academy of Economics in Wrocław, specializing in management. In addition, she is a pedagogue and a sociotherapist. In her daily work, she cooperates with young people and adults experiencing violence.
