Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, while patrolling the city streets, stopped a passenger car for inspection. A 51-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was behind the wheel. As it turned out, he was subject to an active court-ordered driving ban, in effect since 2015, imposed for driving under the influence.
If the man had waited another four months, when his ban was due to end, he would not have faced any consequences. Now he could face up to five years in prison.
